MS Scarlett Feaver is the fourth of the Warhammer 40,000 Chaos Space Marines codex, and takes the Space Marines to a whole new dimension. This codex represents the fifth edition of the game and brings it a whole new style of rules and models. We've done our best to collect all the material on the Chaos Space Marines in this review. All models are linked to their respective datasheet pages on our Warhammer 40,000 site. Chaos Space Marines Space Marines Warlord Trait 3 points Rally. If the Warlord's unit broke to flee before your force broke to flee, re-roll hit rolls of 1 for the unit against enemy units within 1" of your Warlord. This model can activate before the unit. Sorcerer Supreme Psychic Powers 1 point Discipline of the Warp. If this model has Furious Charge, when the model that cast the Furious Charge power ends it's movement, add D3+2 inches to its move distance for each unit it has already moved this turn. Unit Features Ability 1 Battalion Detachment You can take a battalion detachment if you take the Codex: Chaos Space Marines as your army. Ability 2 Psychic Shriek 2 points Psychic Shriek. Give a marker to the Warlord. If this model has Furious Charge, at the end of the Psychic Shriek’s duration, roll a D3 for each model with a template on the Warlord’s unit, and that model's template is removed for the rest of the game. Winged Daemon Prince Traits The winged daemon prince is a unit of Chaos Daemons which is detailed in Codex: Chaos Space Marines. A winged daemon prince is an independent, ranged, psychic unit that is able to target any enemy unit it sees. Unit Features Sight Warpstalker In the game, a Warpstalker is a unit of Chaos Space Marines that is specialised in shooting. Units in the shooting phase may opt to shoot instead of their normal movement if they wish to shoot at a unit that is outside their normal firing arc (a 2” diameter). The unit’s model does not need to be in line of sight to shoot. Instead of moving during their shooting phase, units with the Sight Warpstalker trait, including Warpstalkers, may shoot a number of times equal to half the number of models in the unit, including the Warpstalker. The blast can fire in a straight line out to 18 inches from the Warpstalker’s Spur. This template is used in combination with a template to represent the ranged weapons of each model in the unit. This template can only be used from the shooting phase. If a model in the unit suffers an instant death, ignore that unit’s movement restrictions for that turn, but only during the movement phase. Skin of the Beast Once per game, the warlord can reroll wounds with a Daemonic Weapon trait weapon for a unit within 6". You can use this twice, and only once for any Daemonic Weapon trait weapon per game. Heavy Support Sentry of Torment 1 point Sentry of Torment. Choose a unit within 12” that can make a ranged weapon attack at the start of the shooting phase. That unit gains shooting until the end of the phase if it does not already have the opportunity to shoot. Wings 6 points 6 Wings: This model has 2 Wings, and each Wing can attack separately. While a unit with Wings is within 2”, the model gains +1A to all its ranged weapons and +2A to its melee weapons. Flyer Bellerophon 4 points Flyer. The model can shoot twice, and if it does so, each successful attack by it counts as two attacks. Once per game, when a friendly unit falls back, it can move up to 4” instead of its full movement. Wings 15 points 15 Wings: This model has 6 Wings, and each Wing can attack separately. While a unit with Wings is within 3” the model gains +2A to its ranged weapons. Flyer Eidolon of Slaanesh 1 point Flyer. The model can shoot twice, and if it does so, each successful attack by it counts as two attacks. Unit has the Flyer trait. Wings 10 points 10 Wings: This model has 3 Wings, and each Wing can attack separately. When resolving a weapon attack made by a unit with Wings, roll a D6. On a 5+, a wound is inflicted on the target. On a 2+, the attack is instead directed at a random enemy unit within 1" of the target. Flyer Champion 1 point Flyer. The model can shoot twice, and if it does so, each successful attack by it counts as two attacks. When resolving a weapon attack made by a unit with Wings, roll a D6. On a 5+, the attack is instead directed at a random enemy unit within 1" of the target. Wings 6 points 6 Wings: This model has 2 Wings, and each Wing can attack separately. While a unit with Wings is within 2” the model gains +1A to all its ranged weapons and +2A to its melee weapons. Flyer Titan 8 points Titan. Add D3 to the Strength characteristic of this model’s weapons and psychic powers. This upgrade ignores wounds inflicted by Strength or Charge -1. Wings 15 points 15 Wings: This model has 6 Wings, and each Wing can attack separately. While a unit with Wings is within 3” the model gains +2A to its ranged weapons. Flyer Flyer 1 point Flyer.
