[A case of bilateral ovarian tumors with metastasis to lymph nodes]. A 41-year-old woman was hospitalized because of bilateral adnexal tumors. The left ovary measured 13 cm in diameter and contained multilocular cystic lesions. Tumor cells were immunoreactive with anti-pancytokeratin antibody and negative for carcinoembryonic antigen. The right ovary was 2.5 cm in diameter and was normal. The serum concentration of cancer antigen 125 was elevated and computed tomography revealed multiple lymph node metastasis. In the bilateral ovaries, the incidence of carcinoma cells was high. This result suggests that both adnexal tumors were primary carcinomas. Immunohistochemistry suggested that the bilateral tumors had metastasized from different origins to the lymph nodes. This case is noteworthy because of the bilateral tumors with metastases. The pathological features of the metastases to lymph nodes have been discussed.
