The Great Divide by Simon Schama. A fascinating history of the division between France and Britain over how to colonise North America. Also a wonderful introduction to the US as a French colony. My reading has really slowed down the past couple of months so it’s hard to say when I’ll finish this one. I just started “How we live now” by Bill Bryson and I really love his writing style. I’m pretty sure I’ll love this book too, if only because his British humour is so much fun! I just have to find time! I was sent this book because I follow the blog, The Long Conversation, and I was told that the book was a great introduction to podcasts. I’ve decided to start with Serial, because that’s what you are already listening to, right? Anyway, I was also thinking of starting with podcasts but my friend said I should listen to this first. It was very interesting and the author was passionate about podcasts! Great! I’ve heard great things about podcasts and started listening to Serial. So, I decided to read this book as well to learn a little about this new phenomenon. It’s a very interesting book that also got me very curious about podcasts and the podcasting phenomenon. I was talking about this book with my mom yesterday and she suggested that I listen to two podcasts: The Daily, from CBC Radio, and Radio Free Asia. She didn’t have much information about them but they sounded interesting. I’ll check them out later today. This book is a memoir written by a high school physics teacher. It’s basically about his life and his experiences. I have the book but I don’t remember really enjoying it. I remember liking the first few chapters but I can’t even remember what it was about! Anyway, I probably won’t finish it but I might re-read it some time. I think that my mom left it here on purpose. She doesn’t like books. For some reason, I did enjoy this one. I also remember the beginning! It was a very nice and funny memoir. It is my most recent purchase and it is the complete works of J.K. Rowling (including 7 books in the Harry Potter series). I think it was just $10 but I will never buy this again (I think the only thing that I’ll buy are the Harry Potter books!). It was really, really hard to open! I was hoping that one of my books would be the most recent one I have. Boy did it ever make me disappointed. It was pretty disappointing. Let me tell you a little about this book first: It’s quite a thick book, which is a huge plus, but at least 60% of the book is dedicated to the bibliography and every other section is about what goes on in the book and not the story itself. On top of that, there are three stories in the book, which are rather predictable and uninteresting. The stories in the book are predictable and the three stories in the book were really weak. I read them, and I didn’t really have an interest in reading them! On top of that, there are several times where nothing really happens and it took me over half the book just to figure out what was happening in one of the stories. In the end, I still think that they were predictable and boring and they didn’t really tell me what was going on in the world. And it would have been fine if they did, but they didn’t! Anyways, I was trying to look for something that was interesting and exciting. Something that was a little more interesting than that. I haven’t found it yet. I am trying to write again but I have to stay in my room all the time. It’s impossible to get my dad to leave me alone. He keeps watching me and he keeps talking. Every time I try to write, he’s there. Even when he’s not there, he’s the one who interrupts me. He never listens to what I have to say and I don’t think he’s even reading these posts because he never talks about it and my mom never questions my dad. I keep trying to write but it’s impossible to do. My writing is going backwards. So, the story is from my dad’s point of view. And since it is his perspective, I won’t include anything from the story that he thinks is bad because then it wouldn’t be the way that he saw it. So, here we go. It was a nice morning, like every other nice morning. My dad got up, got ready and went to work. When he got home, he went to work at his job. He worked for many hours and it was dinner time, so he decided to go home. When he got home, he fixed dinner for us. We ate dinner together and my dad talked to us about his day. He talked to us about the things he saw and the things that happened. After dinner, he went to his room and watched TV. That night, I was lying in bed thinking of an idea that I have to write about. I was thinking about my idea and I heard the front door open and close. I think it was my dad and I waited and waited for him to come into his room. After a few minutes, I thought that it was just the wind and I went to sleep. I was still thinking about my idea and I was still waiting for my dad. When I finally dozed off, he was standing over me. I opened my eyes and I was screaming at the top of my lungs. I woke up because my dad’s hand was over my mouth. I tried to sit up and he held me down. I tried to push him off of me but he wouldn’t move. He was blocking me and he said, “I love you.” I tried to run away from him and I slipped on my bed. I fell down and onto the floor. I was crawling and trying to get away from him. I was scared. I was going to my dad and I was scared because of the things that were happening and I didn’t know why. I wanted to go back to bed and I didn’t know how to get back. I couldn’t even hear my dad anymore so I crawled back to my bed. The next day, my mom called the cops. The first time, they couldn’t help me. My mom told them that he is very dangerous and he is not supposed to be around children. She told them that they need to do something because he was hurting me and he was going to hurt me again. The first time that the cops came, they left after two minutes. The cops were not even allowed to touch my dad because my dad had a gun in the house. They only saw the gun for a few seconds. They called another three cops who came a little bit later and got the gun. The cops came back and held a meeting about what was happening with my dad. After talking about the situation and seeing that he would only stay in his room, they decided to move him. They tried to move him into his own apartment and they sent him away. I didn’t know what to do so I listened to what the cops were saying. My mom said that I could go with my aunt until the situation was over and my mom moved out of state. My mom left that afternoon. She called and said goodbye and she was leaving. She left and I didn’t even get to say goodbye. A little bit later, they said that they were going to take my dad to jail. He was supposed to be kept in a room that was for people like my dad. When he got to the hospital, they said he wouldn’t be going there anymore because there were lots of crazy people there and he needed to be watched and monitored in a room where he would be safe and not do anything else. When the room was all set up, the cops said that they had to leave to go somewhere else. After they left, my dad came out of the room and he started throwing things around the room. He was pulling down posters and throwing things and everything in his hands. The room became a mess, so they had to clean it up. After the cops came back, the went back into the room and left him in the room. He was supposed to stay there for two days and then he was going to get a lawyer, but that didn’t happen. He disappeared. They called
