The famous Ali-Norton fight is now considered the most famous fight in the history of boxing, and it is still considered the greatest fight ever. 8 Billy Conn On June 21, 1954, on a night when Conn was supposed to have a fight with Sugar Ray Robinson, the opponent walked out because he thought Conn would never be able to beat the champion. At that point, he was considered unbeatable, so when he didn’t give up, the fans started a riot that eventually got out of control. In a rage, the fans were throwing debris and the police got in to stop the riot. Several people were injured and Conn was seriously injured. Police arrested dozens of people and several innocent people died in the chaos, including a man from Connecticut named Thomas Coyne, whose wife was also injured. Conn was later arrested and convicted for a number of crimes related to the riots. 9 Don King Don King is a successful boxing manager, a promoter, an impresario, and the owner of the Don King Productions, a company that produces boxing shows. King faced criminal charges when on August 8, 1993, he used a helicopter to land in a neighborhood in Los Angeles, an area that was not supposed to be used for landing and refueling. In the first few seconds of the fight Ibragim Tursunov landed a solid punch on Provodnikov, but his opponent hit back with a left and a right, and knocked Ibragim Tursunov down with a single punch. Then Ibragim Tursunov’s face became covered with a stream of blood. He got back up and continued fighting, but he was badly damaged in the face, so he couldn’t continue the fight. When the fight was stopped, it was unclear who won, but there was speculation that Provodnikov won because he was standing, while Ibragim Tursunov lay bleeding on the floor. Provodnikov was declared the winner and Tursunov was taken to a hospital. 11 Ike Ibeabuchi In December 2008, Ike Ibeabuchi and Danny Romero fought a fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Morrissey was a champion boxer of the day, and in the ninth round of their fight he landed a left hook that sent Attell to the ground and he couldn’t get back up. Morrissey continued the fight, and he won the fight and became the new champion of the time.
