CBS dominated in the key adults 18-34 and 25-54 demographics with a 12.1 rating and 23 share among adults 18-34 and a 10.5 rating and 24 share among the adults 25-54, both leading NBC with 8.0/11 and 8.5/12 and ABC with 5.6/8 and 4.9/8. Fox trailed with a 3.2/5 and 1.9/3. The season finale of "American Idol" at 8 p.m. drew a 9.1/14 rating/21 share among adults 18-49 and 21.3 million viewers overall. "Idol" continues to be the number one show on TV in its time period in adults 18-49 and adults 18-34, and the season premiere of "The Office" was the No. 1 show in the 18-49 demo for the hour on both Monday and Tuesday.
