Vincent J. Fuller (April 14, 1932 - November 2, 2019) was a priest of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rockville Centre.
Life
Vincent Fuller was born in New York in 1932, and grew up in Long Island City, New York. He was ordained priest in 1959 and appointed pastor of the Sacred Heart Parish in Glen Cove, NY. He was appointed vicar for religious services at Long Island's oldest Roman Catholic church, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, in East Meadow, New York. In 1975 he was elevated to Vicar for Religious Affairs at the diocesan level. In 1980 he moved to Washington DC to become Secretary for the Bishop's Committee for Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs. In 1994 he became diocesan Vicar for Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation. He retired in 2008.
He was co-founder of the "Interfaith Coalition on Third Party Tax Financing", together with the Islamic Society of North America, the Islamic Circle of North America, and the Hindu American Foundation, a coalition against federal taxpayer funding for faith-based organizations that discriminate.
He died in 2019 in Long Island.
