Out for Blood). It contains some of the same tropes that have become the blueprint for the majority of its genre, but still manages to make them uniquely its own. While it’s still a solid experience that offers fun enough to make it accessible to people who don’t typically like this type of media, it definitely feels like it’s being written for a specific audience. It’s entertaining as hell and has a very strong soundtrack to go along with it, but the fact that it’s being made with more or less this type of person in mind, makes for a pretty one-sided film. The concept behind Dead by Daylight (2016), was not only interesting, but unique. When I initially heard of the film, I was so excited to see what writer/director Adam Wingard could do with the premise of the game, because I just couldn’t wait to play it myself! As someone who also loves a good psychological thriller, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but this film was just over the top in terms of everything. It had a lot to say, and I got a lot out of it. This film doesn’t really work as a movie first, but as a game-meets-survival horror. In this format, it’s absolutely amazing. It starts off as a fairly standard monster of the week style, involving a young girl who gets bullied at school, then decides to take a walk at night, where she gets attacked by an unseen stranger. That’s the basis of what this film is really all about. There’s a lot of mystery and suspense in it’s beginning, which then leads into everything else that happens from there. The ending does lose a bit of it’s steam and feels like the writers had to wrap everything up a bit quick, as to not waste too much of their budget, but it does what they needed to do so that you’re left satisfied with what you’ve seen. Overall, there’s a lot of good and exciting stuff in here, but you have to look past some of the issues with it, because what it accomplishes and the performances really get this film to a whole new level. Overall, Dead by Daylight is a very unique film that offers more than most in this genre, and it was certainly a film that I felt deserved more than just a single viewing. The premise is exactly what it says it is. The film follows a group of friends that decide to leave the relative safety of their college campus, by traveling to Spain for the summer. So far, so good. They meet a girl named Emma, who has the chance of a lifetime. The group decides to give it to her, but it turns out the group isn’t the only ones that have a little something up their sleeve. After some research, they find that their only option is to find Emma and get her out of the country. From there, it’s either them or the others. Good thing they brought the guns and all those weapons they picked up from that one house. The film definitely has enough cool characters to make it exciting, but the performances by some of the cast members don’t really help with it either. There’s a lot of missed opportunities here, because the acting just didn’t seem to fit the tone that the film was trying to put out. This is definitely a film that doesn’t need much explanation, because when it comes to the characters, the world, the story, it feels pretty straightforward. The ending of the film seemed forced and kind of made no sense at all. In this format, though, it works quite well. While it definitely needs some work to make it into a solid film, the format is a little bit more unique than most of the films in this genre. The premise behind The Evil Within 2 (2017), is basically the same as its predecessor. A man named Detective Juli Kidman goes to the house of a deranged killer, who once lived there, looking for information on the former owner of the house and what happened to him, and while doing so, she learns that the owner wasn’t the only person that had been coming to visit. Turns out, the owner had a little bit of a dark past. This was no problem, though, since he is dead after all. But the killer isn’t, and he soon returns to his former life. Soon, it’s up to Detective Kidman to get him before he hurts any more people. This will certainly be a hard task, because the killer is on the hunt and has more than a few tricks up his sleeve. Overall, I felt that this film didn’t really know exactly what it was, but that was kind of the point. This is a film that felt like it was created for a specific audience, and it’s a crowd that no one is really a part of. It’s just a good old, dumb, fun film that will certainly please horror fans, regardless of whether or not you like this type of stuff. This would be a perfect film for anyone that loved the first one, but just didn’t want to spend any more time watching the same thing all over again. If you enjoyed the first one, this will be one that you’ll certainly appreciate more than the average film you see of the same type. It feels like more than just a sequel. The Evil Within 2 is a film that has plenty of things to say, but unfortunately, it doesn’t really say anything other than “it’s a pretty cool film.” There’s nothing really wrong with it, it just doesn’t offer too much, but it’s not like this film needs it. Boo! Ghost Stories (2017) follows the basic concept of a group of college students traveling to an old mansion for a party. It really doesn’t have much of anything else going on, but what it does, it does very well. You’re sure to be in for a good time with this one, and the film will certainly have you on the edge of your seat for most of it, so don’t blink or miss anything. There’s enough action going on to keep things fun, but it’s really more about what’s happening between the actors in this one, and who they are, than anything else. This is a film that should be looked at more in terms of how it offers something different than what you’re used to, instead of what you would expect. This film isn’t the funniest movie I’ve ever seen. It’s definitely nowhere near as funny as something like Beetlejuice, or even a big screen Gremlins. It’s also probably nowhere near as bad as something like Spaceballs, so it’s not for everyone. It’s about halfway in between. It’s not as bad as a bad Seth Rogen film, but it’s not as good as an Adam Sandler film. Some of the horror stuff might not be for everyone, either, because it’s dark, but the rest of it does seem to fall in line with what most people like. For all that’s going on here, it definitely has a way of keeping your attention and entertaining you at the same time. Overall, this is a film that I liked a lot, but I still don’t have too much of an attachment to it. It’s fun, entertaining, and well made. You should give it a shot, if you’re in the mood for some good old horror. The first one was a bit of a different story, but this one also kept the same kind of vibe going. While this film is a lot more fun and light-hearted than the first one was, it’s still just as suspenseful. It’s definitely more on the serious side, but it’s good, in my opinion. Overall, this film was a good time and it offered enough of a different type of fun that it was quite the entertaining film. It also has the kind of message that I wish more films in the genre offered more often. There’s nothing really out of the ordinary in terms of style or message here, so if you liked the first one, you’ll probably appreciate this one even more, but it’s not exactly pushing boundaries in terms of what the horror genre has to offer. There’s no need to have a film like this in order to appeal to a larger audience, but if you’re looking for something like that, this could be it. The premise of this film is simple. A man wakes up and takes his dog for a walk, but while he’s gone, a few things go awry. As he returns, he finds that someone has stolen his dog and taken advantage of his other animals. The film isn’t really much more than that. It starts off with him, taking his dog for a walk. What I mean by that is, that it starts off very much like any other film that has a similar premise, and the rest of the film doesn’t really change that until the very end of the film, but the end of the film is where the true magic begins. It’s really quite well done, especially considering that there is very little dialogue and that much of it is seen through the eyes of a dog. All of it is done well and it doesn’t feel like you’re watching a puppet or anything like that. It’s just real life, with a bit of dog life thrown in there. Overall, this film is one that
