I first met him when he was about to install the deck in 1990. I was in his living room, and he was trying to move a large oak cabinet that had been bolted to the floor. It was taking him a long time, but as I looked around I noticed that every piece of furniture was very securely anchored. I’ve been a fan of his since I got my first copy of two by two when I lived in the Midwest. I’ve bought my whole collection from him over the years, and now I buy every chance I get. Even now, I’m not completely sold on his style, but when I first started looking at his work, his style made sense to me. I didn’t have the vocabulary to explain it, but I got the feeling that he was very familiar with the old time American furniture style that came before Art Deco. It was an interesting and informative experience for me. I got to tour the studio, and it made me understand a little bit more about what happens in order for one of his projects to go from vision to reality. It was fascinating to see all the details that go into taking a concept and developing it to a new and unique level. The man has a lot of talent. I asked him about his inspiration for two by two, and he told me that his inspiration was the way that people lived and worked in an office in the 19th century. He looked at the furnishings that were created in offices and he combined what he saw in them with the style of his modern furnishings and then made a whole new style out of it. The result is very interesting. There are currently nine pieces in two by two, and the full two by two collection consists of a bench, table, secretary, dresser, lamp, trunk and chair. The benches and sofas are upholstered in leather and feature high backs. The style of the office furniture inspired the chairs and stools with bent wooden backs. The sofas have cushions in two different colors of leather that are different than the backs and seats. The chair is a combination of old style office furniture and modern design. The details are what make two by two special. Even though the designs are very different, the details remind me of each piece. The stools have a brass back, arm rests, legs, and the benches are made of mahogany. Both the dresser and secretary have brass pull handles, as does the lamp, and the sofa has decorative brass nails on the seats. I really liked the way that Dixon pulled in different styles of furniture, but managed to combine them all together into one collection. I hope you’ll take a look and see for yourself. For a few minutes I talked to him and bought a book and a postcard. All of my experiences with Dixon confirmed that he is a very talented designer and talented artist who does beautiful work. I will mention that I took this video just before we talked and he had some comments for me. The new release of Dixon’s collection is available online. The colors are similar, but the designs are definitely different than in his other pieces. Dixon has done his best to change the furniture designs so that they fit together into one showroom. The result is interesting. Some of Dixon’s pieces are a perfect match for each other, and some don’t really have a place with any other piece in the collection. But, like all collections, it has many pieces that have been purchased by people who use them at their homes and offices. When you think about it, the furniture industry hasn’t changed very much over the years. It’s always been about the pieces that you love and they way that you use them. The collection is being sold in the form of five pieces or two pairings. There’s the one and two together. The three and four and the five and six. The cost of all of the combinations are not that different. Some of the prices of the different pieces are available on Dixon’s website. This was the first piece I tried to buy. I took out some of my tools and started taking the legs apart. I got an idea of how this piece is constructed and looked around for some parts that might have been included in the package. It wasn’t quite the way that the piece was designed, but I pulled the leg apart and found a small screw. When I finished prying it out of the cabinet, I discovered that it was the lock to the cabinet. The cabinet was a piece of wood wrapped around a piece of leather. When I opened it up, there were a few screws on the bottom, but most of it was solidly sealed with wood glue. I put it back together and then I tried using a screw driver to turn the combination lock. As I turned it, I watched the blade of the scissors. I was able to open the lock with a little bit of effort and a long nail I picked up from around the building. I decided that I liked the look of the piece, but that it wasn’t a part of two by two, so I started looking around for other things. As I looked around, I noticed a small piece of wood that was shaped like a square. This piece was the key to the cabinet. As I put the piece of wood in the lock, I noticed that it could easily slide in and out of the piece and was very stable. It had a metal rod extending from the center that was long enough to hold it in place. I took out my pocket knife and cut a strip of leather off the edge of the backside of the piece. Then, I tied a small knot with a piece of twine and glued it on the back side of the piece. The resulting piece had four teeth at the end. I thought that this was really cool and I showed it to Robert and he was very impressed. I asked him about the piece and he said that it was part of a desk. After a quick search through the pile, we found a section that included desk parts that I liked. I took out my knife again and cut a piece of leather in half. I cut the leather and folded it over to create a tube that would fit over the rod on the back of the piece. I glued it into place and, as it dried, I started looking for a piece that would work as a stand. The next section I found contained an extremely heavy piece of wood with one straight edge and one rounded edge. I thought it might have been the section of the desk that held the paper. I removed the paper and found that it had turned black from age. I looked at the drawers and found a drawer on the left that was much smaller than the others. I took out my knife again and cut it in half. After I cut it, I found that there was one end that wasn’t rounded and looked a little bit like a knob. This was really cool and I thought that it would be great to mount the whole piece to the wall. As I walked through the studio, I ran into some of the other parts of two by two. There were pieces that were just like the desk, but they didn’t have the pieces that I wanted. I found the metal rods that were for all of the shelves and tables. I took my saw and cut them into pieces that would work for my stand. This piece of wood that had been cut was also used for the stand, as well as for the sides of the drawers. The large part of the wood that had the rounded end on one end was the bottom of the box that was part of the desk. I used the curved side of the box to mount the piece and I was able to tie it off with some twine that had been left over from the desk that was used on the cabinet that I first purchased. To finish it off, I tied some leather strings to the table and wrapped it with leather cord. When the piece dried, it looked great. I placed it in the room and decided to go for a drink. When I came back, it was ready to display. I took it out to the dining room and placed it on the table that is in front of the fireplace in the family room. In the family room, we have a sectional with a sectional couch, loveseat, and chairs in front of a fireplace. The collection is in a great location, and I really like the way that the pieces look with each other. I thought it was pretty cool that Dixon was able to combine so many different styles of furniture together into
