Never Say Die is the only album by the Canadian rock band My Darkest Days, released in 2014. The album title references an episode of The Twilight Zone, "A Small Talent for War," which featured a protagonist in a wheelchair (portrayed by Richard Basehart) with the ability to transcend death and, along with the protagonist's friends, prevent World War III from starting. The album's single, "Never Say Die," contains the same quote that was used in the episode, and the track also heavily samples the movie. The album was recorded on a low budget in a studio near the band's hometown of Hamilton, Ontario, with producer Dave Genn (Rush, Hush, I Mother Earth). Track listing "Never Say Die" – 5:04 "Hiding in the Shadows" – 4:02 "Standing on Zero" – 4:41 "Never a Champion" – 5:04 "Crowded" – 5:04 "Permanent Resident" – 3:42 "We Will Rise" – 3:17 "The Warden" – 3:53 "This Isn't My Home" – 3:48 "The Sun Will Set" – 3:38 "Mistress of the Flame" – 4:05 References Category:2014 albums Category:My Darkest Days albums Category:Alternative rock albums by Canadian artists Category:Hard rock albums by Canadian artists Category:Articles containing video clips Category:Dine Alone Records albums
