AURORA, Colo. — An Aurora couple shot a home invader Tuesday night during a home invasion in Aurora. Just before 6:30 p.m., police said a man broke into the home in the 2100 block of South Buckley Road. The couple heard the intruder and fired shots at him, police said. The victim was shot once in the right knee and once in the left arm. He was treated at a hospital and released. The suspect was injured and taken to a hospital. The motive for the break-in is unclear, but Aurora police said the couple shot the suspect after hearing a knock at the door. He is listed in critical condition. Stay with KDVR for updates.
